Occasional Child Care Service
Some child care centres are subsidized by the government providing occasional child care services for children aged between 0 to 6 with a view to avoiding accidents when leaving child home alone.
There are 11 centres providing occasional child care services in Tseung Kwan O and Sai Kung district. Two of them targets for mentally handicapped children aged between 2 to 6.
Children's Home
It serves for children and youth aged between 6 to 21 either abandoned or lacking parental care. Their parents or guardians are unable to take care of them because of negligence, death, imprisonment or chronic illness. Children under legal prosecution process are also the serving targets.
