CHAIRMAN’S REVIEW

主席匯報

2019-20 was a challenging year for Hong Kong on all fronts. On the medical
sector, the ever-escalating service demand, coupled with the global

outburst of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), have put the public

healthcare system under tremendous pressure. Being the major provider
of public healthcare services in Hong Kong, Hospital Authority (HA) stays
at the forefront to safeguard the health of citizens, upholding the highest

standard of professionalism. Notwithstanding various daunting challenges,

we have been progressing forward in the year.

2019-20年度，香港社會各界備受嚴峻考驗。就醫療服務而言，與日俱增的

醫療服務需求，加上肆虐全球的2019冠狀病毒病，為醫療體系帶來巨大壓力。
醫院管理局（醫管局）作為香港主要的公營醫療服務提供者，一直恪守專業，

站在守護民康的最前線。這一年縱然挑戰重重，我們也在艱苦中成長。
