Elective Surgery

An elective surgery is a planned surgical procedure. The choice and the timing of the procedure are worked out together by the patient and doctor after the evaluation of the clinical conditions. The timing of the surgery depends on the urgency of one’s condition. Patients are treated based on the seriousness of their illness and not in order of when they were added to the list.
