    • Donation to Samaritan Fund

The Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (TWGHs), a long-time supporter of the Hospital Authority Charitable Foundation (HACF), has been making annual donation to HACF for decades. Every year, HACF makes donations, including the designated donation from TWGHs, to the Samaritan Fund to help patients meet expenses of self-financed drugs and other medical items that are proven to be of significant benefits but too expensive for the Hospital Authority to provide as part of the subsidised services.

    • Patient Support Stations and Information Kiosks in Public Hospitals

Through deploying part of the donation raised from the Hospital Authority New Year Runs, a total of 14 Patient Support Stations and 48 Information Kiosks have been set up in public hospitals, covering all seven clusters, to provide patients and carers with self-help group and disease information. The Patient Support Stations are manned by volunteers from different self-help groups to provide direct advices to patients and their carers on community resources and peer support.
