As the statutory body responsible for managing all public hospitals in Hong Kong, the Hospital Authority (HA) now manages 43 public hospitals and institutions, 49 Specialist Out-patient Clinics and 74 General Out-patient Clinics for delivering public hospital services in Hong Kong and serving our citizens with a comprehensive range and high volumes of healthcare services.
Hong Kong’s population is ageing rapidly. Ageing demography, together with clinical technology advancement, prevalence of chronic diseases and growing public expectation, will continue to impose profound demand on public healthcare services. Supported by our dedicated and professional staff, the HA will continue to contribute to expanding service capacity and improving quality amidst massive pressure of escalating demand.
