Hospital Chief Executive Dr SO Wing-yee Hospital Governing Committee ![]() Introduction The North District Hospital (NDH) is an acute general hospital commencing services in phases in 1998. Being the first hospital completely planned and built by the Hospital Authority, NDH adheres to the motto “We Serve, We Care, We Create a Happy Hospital” to provide the population of the New Territories East Cluster with comprehensive and professional healthcare services, including more than 600 inpatient beds, a 24-hour Accident and Emergency Department, specialist out-patient services, ambulatory care services and community health services. The NDH Expansion Project is currently in progress. It is expected that the project will complete in 2028 the soonest and the number of hospital beds will be added to 2,100. The Central Government-Aided Emergency Hospital in Lok Ma Chau launches the “Ambulatory Diagnostic Radiology Service Pilot Programme” to invite patients with suitable clinical conditions to receive diagnostic radiology service, including Computed Tomography Scan and Magnetic Resonance Imaging Scan.
