Hospital Chief Executive Dr Ada YU Hoi-yan Hospital Governing Committee Hospital Governing Committee Introduction Established by the Society for the Promotion of Hospice Care in 1992, the institution was the first in Hong Kong to provide specialist hospice care for terminally-ill cancer patients referred to it by their doctors. Besides medical and nursing care to relieve pain, the Hospice looks after the emotional and spiritual needs of patients and their families in its wards or their homes, and it coordinates with other hospitals to ensure that they receive a continuum of care. It also provides comprehensive bereavement support to patients’ relatives. Scope of Services
