Introduction
Established in 1981, the Hospital aims to care for acute and chronic psychiatric patients and provides a number of psychiatric subspecialty services. The services are supported by a number of allied health departments. In addition, the Hospital is dedicated to developing community-based outreach teams and operates five psychiatric outpatient clinics. It also works in collaboration with half-way homes, sheltered workshops and educational and social agencies and ensures continuity of care and reintegration into the community for the mentally ill.

| Scope of Services |
The Patient Resource & Social Centre provides patients with social, educational, recreational and encouraging activities. The centre helps residents and teaches them to restore confidence, self-esteem, ability to manage daily life, normal work routines, interests and hobbies, and to achieve the ultimate goal of helping patients adapt to and be integrated into society.
