Hospital Chief Executive Dr Theresa LI Hospital Governing Committee Hospital Governing Committee Introduction Established to provide maternity services to the community by the London Missionary Society in 1922, the Hospital later became a government hospital, as well as a teaching hospital of the University of Hong Kong for medical students, post-graduate training and research for doctors, and obstetric training for student nurses. It is now a day centre offering ambulatory care for antenatal and postnatal patients, as well as health programmes for the public on subjects such as caring for newborn babies, diets for pregnant women and family planning.
