Anti-Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (Anti-VEGF) Injection Service

The anti-VEGF injection service is available in Ophthalmic Out-patient Department for the patients who are suffering from Age-related Macular Degeneration and other eye diseases. For enquiry, please contact the hospital.

The Specialist Out-Patient Department (Medicine & Rehabilitation) had added the following Clinic service with effect from October of 2008.

- Respiratory clinic
- Rheumatology clinic
- Pain clinic

WIth effect from July 2011, Gastro-intestinal & Hepatology clinic was also added into the service.

ITS Service is established since November 2008 together with the TWEH, HK Polytechnic University Wilson TS Wong Chinese Medicine Clinical Research and Services Centre. It is a self-finance service on top of the hospital fee. It not only provides the western medical services to our hospitalized patients, but also receives referral for patients who are fit for acupuncture and Chinese herbs treatment. The western doctor will discuss the successful referral case and treatment with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (TCMP) in the first co-consultation. Besides, relative is invited to accompany with the patient during the treatment persiod . Through continuing stimulating the acupuncture pints by acupuncture or prescribing te Chinese herbs and ongoing monitoring, the functions of nervous system and muscle power of the patients will be improved. As a result, the quality of life of patient is enhanced by minimizing muscle spasm and improving mental status of patient.
