Event Brief
Tseung Kwan O Hospital is dedicated to provide professional healthcare services to patients and the community for their health. This year, through celebration of its 25th anniversary, the hospital upholds the spirit of "community-oriented" to strengthen the connection between the hospital and the community and promote the physical and mental healthiness of citizens. Therefore, on 16 March 2024 (Saturday), a Charity Walkathon will be held at the South Landing Steps of Tseung Kwan O Waterfront Promenade. The funds raised will be used to support various community health education activities, patient support programs, volunteer recognition and training, as well as staff wellness activities of Tseung Kwan O Hospital.
After completing the walk, participants can join the carnival having health educational booth games. Apart from exercising, you can learn health knowledge through the games, making the activity a meaningful experience. Don't hesitate, browse the following event details and enroll now!

Notice to Participants
- Once the enrolment is accepted, all the charity fees are non-refundable & non-transferable under any circumstances.
- Only on-line enrolment is accepted. Late or on-site registration will not be allowed.
- Participants should be self-disciplined and follow the instructions of the duty personnel throughout the event to ensure his/her own and other's safety.
- Total distance is approximately 5 km. It will take approximately 1.5 hours to complete the journey. Any participants who feel sick should contact the duty personnel immediately for assistance.
- Owing to safety concerns, participants aged below 18 must be accompanied by adults.
- As part of the route walks along the viaducts, participants should take extra safety precaution, especially for any accompanied children. Do not lean on, climb over or dislocate any barrier or divider placed along the route.
- Please take care and safeguard your own personal belongings. The hospital is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings.
- All participants are covered by Event Insurance. Participants can purchase personal or other insurance if considered necessary.
- Please bring sufficient drinks, food, sun protection or rain gear as necessary.
- Participant is strictly prohibited to bring dangerous goods (e.g. glass containers, knifes, fireworks, laser pointers, compressed gas or liquid spray, offensive weapons, flammable or explosive agents or materials/objects which may obstruct other participants).
- Participant must not wear or bring any clothing, banners, posters, placards, leaflets or publicity and/or displaying materials which are considered abusive, threatening, discriminatory, religious or political.
- The Hospital has the right to prohibit any participant who performs any act or displays any form of message that arouses public concern or is otherwise deemed inappropriate by the organizer from joining/continuing the event.
- This is a smoke-free event, please do not smoke in the event area. Please do not litter and keep the environment clean.
- To ensure aviation and public safety, participants do not use drone for video or photo taking on the event day.
- Please keep your pets under proper control at all times, such as dogs should be put on a leash in public places. Remember to bring newspapers or plastic bags and a bottle of water with you so that you can clean up after your pets.
- In case of poor weather, such as hoisting of typhoon no.3 or above, any rainstorm
warning or closure of Tseung Kwan O Cross Bay Bridge after 12pm on the day before the
event (15 March 2024), the event will be postponed or cancelled. Announcements on the
latest arrangements for the event will be made through the Tseung Kwan O Hospital
walkathon & carnival event webpage and the event Facebook page. All the charity fees or
donations are non-refundable.
