Membership of the Hospital Authority

Chairman of the Authority since 1 December 2019. Mr Fan was a practising Barrister-at-Law in Hong Kong and has also had substantial management experience with large corporations. Currently he is the managing director of a property investment company. Mr Fan was a Non-Official Member of the Executive Council of the HKSAR and is currently the Chairman of the Board of the West Kowloon Cultural District Foundation Limited.

Mr Chan is the director of an international hotel group. He is also the Professor of Practice (Hospitality Asset Management) of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the founder of a charitable foundation.

Board Member since 5 August 2024 in her capacity as the representative of the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury.

Prof CHAN Wai-yee

Board Member since 1 April 2019.  

Prof Chan is Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and Li Ka Shing Professor of Biomedical Sciences of the School of Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, CUHK. He is also a non-official Director of the Hong Kong Genome Institute and a Member of the Research Grants Council.

Ms Margaret CHENG Wai-ching, JP
