Service Demand Under Monitoring
To cope with the surge in service demand, the Hospital Authority (HA) has put in place a comprehensive phasic response plan, and would continue to monitor the daily service statistics of public hospitals (including the number of first attendances at Accident and Emergency Departments (A&Es), the number of inpatient admissions to medical wards via A&Es and the inpatient bed occupancy rates) as well as the laboratory positivity rates of influenza and COVID-19, etc., in order to enable timely and flexible implementation of service demand surge measures.
