Electrographic Diagnostic Unit
The EDU possesses updated and advanced electro-diagnostic equipment for assessment and investigation of patients' conditions. The diagnostic results will assist doctors to make accurate diagnosis and prescribe treatment.
Scope of Service
Electroencephalograph (EEG)
Provide EEG investigations for the patients of Kwai Chung Hospital, South Kwai Chung Psychiatric Centre, Yaumatei Psychiatric Centre, Kwai Chung Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Centre, and Kwai Chung Hospital Psychogeriatric Team etc.
Electocardiograph (ECG)
Provide ECG service for the patients of Kwai Chung Hospital.
Evoked Potential Studies
Provide Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potential (BAEP), Visual Evoked Potential (VEP) and Somatosensory Evoked Potential (SSEP) for the patients
Biofeedback
Provide electromyographic (EMG), skin conductance, skin temperature, heart rate and electroencephalographic (EEG) feedback for patients.
Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT)
Provide electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings by a ECT team, which consists of psychiatrists, anaesthetists and nurses.
