West Kowloon Psychiatric centre is one of the psychiatric out-patient centres of Kwai Chung Hospital. We provide consultation and rehabilitation services to the population who live in Mongkok, Shamshuipo, Lai Chi Kok, Kwai Chung, Tsing Yi and Tsuen Wan.

1. Out-patient services
| (i) | General Adult Psychiatric Out-patient Service |
| We provide consultation and rehabilitation Psychiatric services to patients from 19 to 65. We also serve elderly patients who are over 65 and live in Mongkok, shumshuipo and Lai Chi Kok, we also welcome. For new case booking, a referral from a registered medical practitioner in H.K. is required and our nurse will conduct a triage assessment before assigning a consultation appointment. |

| (ii) | Substance Abuse Assessment Unit Out-patient Service |
| Substance Abuse Assessment Unit provides consultation and assessment services on every Wednesday p.m.(this service accepts internal referral only) |

| (iii) | Out-patient service for Learning Disabilities |
| Psychiatric Unit of Learning Disabilities provides assessment and consultation services on every Thursday p.m. For new case booking, a referral from registered medical practitioner in H.K. is required. |

| Doctors and psychiatric nurses provide counseling and psychoeducation to pregnant or postpartum patients.(this service accept internal referral only) |

2. Day Hospital
Through various programmes e.g. individual counselling, group therapy and group training to provide psychiatric continuity care and rehabilitation services to psychiatric clients with the aim to strengthen their self-care and working capacity to facilitate and support them to reintegrate in the society more efficiently.

| For a new client , he/she can book a consultation appointment at the centre with a referral from a registered doctor in Hong Kong during office hours. For the services of Psychotherapy Clinic and Day Hospital, referrals can only be made by doctors of West Kowloon Psychiatric Centre. |

| For a client who has defaulted our services for more than five years, he/she will be regarded as a new case. When he/she wants to obtain the services again, the referring process is the same as a new client.
