Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service
The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service in Kwai Chung Hospital aims to serve young people under age of nineteen. Services include provision of assessment, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation for young people with mental, emotional, behavioural and developmental disturbances.We also provide liaison services and consultation to hospitals, schools and other child and adolescent health care agencies.

1. Who needs Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service?
When parents and teachers note a child has the following features, they are advised to seek the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service as soon as possible:
- Behavioural disturbance e.g. conduct disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

How to contact us If a child is suspected to have a mental health problem, please approach a doctor for an initial assessment and making a referral, if needed. You can approach Yaumatei Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Center for an appointment. School social worker, parents, teachers or other front-line workers can also contact us through our hotline (23848934) or fax (23847195) for enquiry or making the first appointment. |
